Black Crazy Ant
Paratrechina longicornis
Small (3mm) dark-brown to black ant named for its erratic, jerky movement when disturbed. Highly adaptable — nests in soil, wall voids, potted plants, and even electronics. Forms supercolonies that can displace other ant species. Common in Indian kitchens, bathrooms, and balconies, especially in apartment complexes with shared plumbing.
